There’s some buzz going round that Jalen Inexperienced is pissed off with how he’s getting used and the way he’s not a sixth man. Are you able to verify this? — Isaac D. This has turn out to be such a divisive subject amongst Rockets followers and actually, a few of the reactions have been unwarranted. However let’s attempt to unpack this. Inexperienced’s frustrations this season have been clear. I used to be within the constructing final Friday for one in all Houston’s extra spectacular dwelling wins of the season over the Phoenix Suns. Green was glued to the bench for the entire fourth quarter. He didn’t look happy. This isn’t the first, second or third time that he’s not been on the floor in critical moments. It probably won’t be the last, either.

Extra on this storyline
I’ve also seen him have several conversations with Şengün, VanVleet and Udoka about in-game schematics and know he wants to find a groove. He just hasn’t been able to do so consistently, which leads to Udoka going with other options to close games. On the entire, Inexperienced’s decision-making has improved since final season. After all, there are nonetheless situations the place he drives into oncoming site visitors and his deal with nonetheless wants some tightening, however so far as making the appropriate reads the third-year guard has gotten higher. That’s a pure improvement enjoying with higher gamers round you. -via The Athletic / February 29, 2024
