The highest of the 2024 NFL Draft is shaping as much as be a quarterback carousel, with now 4 prospects beginning to solidify themselves atop the board after spectacular Professional Day performances.
For months, the projected prime 3 picks have been USC’s Caleb Williams, UNC’s Drake Maye, and LSU’s Jayden Daniels, however in latest weeks a fourth quarterback has crashed the social gathering.
NFL Community’s Daniel Jeremiah went on The Pat McAfee Present and described Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy as being “actually extremely considered and that’s not a smoke display screen.”
“I put it out in my final mock draft and I’ve Quarterbacks going one via 4..
I am speaking to groups which can be within the Quarterback market and groups that are not..

After speaking to many groups and studying who’s within the quarterback market, Jeremiah has the highest 4 picks all being quarterbacks in his most up-to-date mock draft.
If McCarthy has solidified himself as a top-4 choose, the query then turns into which crew will probably be buying and selling down.
The Arizona Cardinals with the No. 4 choose have Kyler Murray locked up and won’t be choosing a quarterback, whereas there have been stories that both the Commanders at No. 2 or the Patriots at No. 3 might be open to buying and selling down.
The Vikings, Raiders, Broncos, and Giants all have ammo to maneuver up into the highest 4 in the event that they wish to go get a brand new franchise QB, and with so many accessible, that is the 12 months to commerce down and get an absolute haul in return.
McCarthy’s latest rise has felt like a smokescreen, and though Jeremiah stated in any other case, it’s arduous to get a grasp on his projected touchdown spot.
We’ve got heard him slotted as excessive as No. 2 after his Professional Day, however issues could change after Jayden Daniels’ Professional Day at the moment.
