Iowa cornerback/punt returner Cooper DeJean has at all times been projected as a first-round draft decide within the 2024 NFL Draft.
The primary query, as with most prospects, has been the place? That query was much more prevalent as he rehabbed from a damaged fibula he suffered on the finish of Iowa’s 2023 season.
The excellent news for DeJean heading into the draft was that he was cleared, lower than every week in the past, to renew soccer actions. He is healed up properly.
Even higher information? After his unbelievable professional day in Iowa Metropolis, there’s some official hype round him as doubtlessly being the highest cornerback on this draft.
Principally, to have the ability to showcase that kind of athleticism lower than every week after being medically cleared to come back again from a damaged fibula — DeJean clearly has what it takes to be the “actual deal” athletically.
