Gervonta Davis trashed Saturday evening’s battle between heavyweight Jared Anderson Ryad Merhy, calling it a “weak” match-up. Anderson (17-0, 15 KOs) made it boring, taking part in it protected in opposition to the punching bag that High Rank had matched him with for his 10-round headliner on the American Financial institution Heart in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Tank Drops Reality Bombs
“A weak-a** heavyweight. I turned it off,” mentioned Gervonta Davis on X, speaking in regards to the battle between Jared Anderson and Ryad Merhy. “Massive s***y,” mentioned Tank about Anderson.
The gang booed each fighters from the second spherical on, nevertheless it did little to encourage both of the heavyweights to point out some ambition. Anderson regarded scared and let his fingers go to complete Merhy, who wasn’t throwing something. This battle was only a set-up job that exploded within the face of Anderson’s promoters, High Rank, for creating this abomination.
The place did High Rank discover Merhy? I need to know as a result of he regarded horrible in his awfulness. The crimson flag for me was Merhy’s loss to Kevin Lerena in 2023, a 12-round unanimous resolution. They discovered this man from a recycling bin and used him to make Anderson look good, which is not possible.
Once I watched Merhy get schooled by the ham & egger Lerena, it was apparent that High Rank was utilizing Merhy to attempt to make Jared Anderson appear like the subsequent large factor.
They’re losing their time dressing Anderson as much as make him appear like a star by feeding him fodder as a result of the followers see by means of it.
High Rank’s Epic Fail
Final evening, it royally backfired on High Rank, with Anderson wanting worse than he did in his battle with Charles Martin. When will High Rank perceive that they’ll’t trick the general public?
They should throw Anderson to the wolves, and if he can’t dangle, minimize him unfastened. If it was me, I’d have dumped Anderson as a result of he ain’t received it.
Anderson’s Flaws
Mentally and bodily, Anderson is missing. His battle in opposition to Merhy confirmed three lacking parts that may stop him from ever changing into one of many high heavyweights:
- Energy: He can’t punch, and he worsens it by utilizing his good good friend Shakur Stevenson’s pull-back model of preventing.
- Killer Intuition: Anderson has received the killer intuition of a kitten.
- Braveness: Like a pet. I hate to say this, however Anderson ain’t heavyweight materials, and he by no means shall be. When is High Rank going to get a clue and dump Anderson?
Tank was being sort together with his feedback as a result of it was probably the most terrible battle I had ever seen in my life. I nonetheless don’t know what High Rank was pondering by utilizing the second-tier fighter Ryad Merhy as Anderson’s opponent. They clearly are attempting to make Anderson look good to promote him to the general public, however this isn’t the way you do it.
