The New York Giants will enter free company with apparent wants at a number of positions and will add to that record if working again Saquon Barkley is allowed to stroll.
Additionally they have a necessity for a real WR1, though many anticipate that shall be addressed within the 2024 NFL draft.
However not everybody sees it that method, and a trio of Fox Sports writers consider the Giants may very well be a possible touchdown spot for large receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown.
Brown has simply seven landing catches in two seasons since Arizona gave up a first-round choose to get him. Can he get again to 1,000+ yards and extra scoring? That’s one thing a brand new staff will most likely get to search out out, and he’s more likely to take a one-year deal to attempt to re-establish himself as a No. 1 receiver.
Along with the Giants, the Carolina Panthers and Tennessee Titans had been listed as potential locations for Brown.
In the meantime, with Barkley probably departing through free company, Fox Sports activities listed working again Josh Jacobs as one other seemingly Giants goal.
It’s a chilly world for a working again nowadays, even for somebody like Jacobs, who has proved he can run and catch the ball effectively in his first 5 NFL seasons. It’s straightforward to think about him placing up numbers that rival Christian McCaffrey if Jacobs went to the fitting staff. However it hardly ever works like that. It’s almost definitely he assessments free company and returns to the Raiders. If Saquon Barkley leaves New York, the Giants would possibly simply take a look at Jacobs as a worthy substitute. He’d definitely be extra dependable than Barkley on the damage entrance. Plus, Jacobs is usually a landing machine on the bottom. He has two seasons with 12 dashing touchdowns.
The door was left open for Barkley to return, nonetheless, and the Giants joined the Chicago Bears and New England Patriots as potential suitors for the celebrity again.
The Giants, Bears and Dallas Cowboys had been additionally listed as potential locations for pending free agent security Xavier McKinney.
