Light-weight contender Keyshawn Davis requested Golden Boy promoter Oscar De La Hoya if he might battle Floyd ‘Child’ Austin’ Floyd Schofield, and he stated he’s on board with it taking place later this yr.
2020 U.S Olympian Keyshawn (10-0, 7 KOs) went as much as De La Hoya to ask him to permit him to face the 21-year-old ‘Child Austin’ Schofield (16-0, 12 KOs). If Keyshawn takes this battle with Child Austin, he might stay to remorse, contemplating this man is a much better fighter with actual expertise.
Keyshawn hasn’t improved since being trounced by Cuban Andy Cruz within the 2020 Olympics. Cruz schooled Keyshawn, beating him for the fourth time as an beginner and pitching a close to shutout like he’d finished in his earlier three encounters.
The fights Keyshawn needs to be asking his promoter Bob Arum to provide him are these guys:
- Raymond Muratalla
- Vasily Lomachenko
- Abdullah Mason
- Edwin De La Santos
- Andy Cruz
Arum isn’t going to let any of these fighters face Keyshawn, contemplating he is aware of what would occur to him. It might spoil all the cash he poured into his profession.
It might be like Arum matching Teofimo Lopez towards Subriel Matias and watching him get knocked out. The judges wouldn’t play a component in that final result for Teo.
It was stunning that Keyshawn would ask for a battle with #4 WBA Schofield, on condition that it’s a harmful battle that his promoter, Bob Arum, seemingly wouldn’t be agreeable to creating.
High Rank seems to be holding Keyshawn again, matching him rigorously after his consecutive poor performances towards Nahir Albright and Francesco Patera.
Final Thursday, Arum fed Keyshawn the pale 34-year-old veteran Jose Pedraza, who hasn’t received a battle in three years and has regarded previous it.
Oscar De La Hoya: “I seen you with my boy, Child Austin. I do know you guys have been going backwards and forwards. It was nice,” stated Oscar through Fighthype, speaking to Keyshawn.
Keyshawn Davis: “Are you able to make it occur?”
De La Hoya: “Yeah.”
Keyshawn: “When do you wish to make it occur, actually?”
De La Hoya: “It might be this yr.”
Keyshawn: “This yr?”
De La Hoya: “Yeah, the top of the yr.”
Keyshawn: “The tip of the yr?”
De La Hoya: “What do you assume?”
Keyshawn: “Everytime you’re prepared, I’m prepared. The tip of this yr?”
De La Hoya: “It might be massive. It might be massive.”
Keyshawn: “Can we shake on that. Hey, y’all see Child Austin on the finish of the yr. I bought my boy, Oscar, right here saying it. Me and Child Austin on the finish of this yr.”
De La Hoya: “The tip of this yr.”
Keyshawn: “Let’s make it occur.”
De La Hoya: “We’ll do it massive.”
Keyshawn: “The place ought to or not it’s at, Vegas?”
De La Hoya: “Yeah, that is the place, the mecca of boxing or New York.”
