If Michael Chandler needs a shot at UFC gold or the BMF belt, he’ll possible need to get in line
Islam, after all, refers to reigning UFC light-weight champion Islam Makhachev. If Chandler’s high precedence is one other shot on the 155-pound crown, he’ll possible need to get in line because the promotion has a backlog of viable contenders — chief amongst them being Justin Gaethje, who just happens to hold the BMF title.
Gaethje will put his bragging rights belt on the road at UFC 300 on April 13 towards former featherweight champ Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway. If ‘The Spotlight’ wins, he’ll almost certainly be next in line for a shot on the ‘Dagestani Destroyer’ later this yr.
Additionally happening on April 13 is a lightweight title eliminator pitting Charles Oliveira towards Arman Tsarukyan, presenting one more potential contender for Makhachev to cope with forward of Chandler.
If Michael Chandler needs a crack on the BMF belt, the best-case situation would see Holloway’s hand raised at UFC 300, which may set the stage for a struggle between two of the UFC’s most explosive strikers.
After all, none of this issues if Chandler can’t get previous Conor McGregor first.
