The New England Patriots are getting into a brand new period.
Invoice Belichick is not calling the pictures, and that’s going to be an odd sight for many followers.
Even so, they’ll give the crew some kind of continuity by giving the reins to Jerod Mayo.
With that in thoughts, Patriots defender Davon Godchaux shared his ideas on this determination.
He acknowledged that Robert Kraft made the appropriate name by giving Mayo the nod, including that he couldn’t have chosen a greater man for the job (through Los Talks Pats).
Davon Godchaux on head coach Jerod Mayo and the brand new #Patriots regime:
“I acquired lots religion that’s it’s gonna go in the appropriate approach. Massive fan of Jerod Mayo — nice man, nice chief… in fact Invoice Belichick is gonna be missed… the best coach of all time… however couldn’t give… pic.twitter.com/30kF5vYhEV

Godchaux raved about Mayo as an individual and a frontrunner, and the way he thought their protection would proceed to be strong and dominant with him on the helm.
Nonetheless, he additionally needs the followers to pump the brakes somewhat and be affected person, as there’s nonetheless loads of time earlier than the beginning of the upcoming marketing campaign.
Greater than that, it would take some time earlier than the Patriots are again to their profitable methods.
For starters, they’re the worst crew within the AFC East division proper now, and it’s not even shut.
Their protection ought to proceed to be good, however they should bolster a number of positions on the offense.
The Patriots and their followers are used to competing on the highest stage, which is why not even the legendary Invoice Belichick acquired the advantage of the doubt any longer.
Hopefully, Kraft might be extra affected person with Mayo, because it’ll take a while to repair every part that’s at the moment improper with this roster and this crew.
