Ryan Garcia scolded the press immediately for praising WBC mild welterweight champion Devin Haney for watching him work out on a heavy bag throughout his media exercise forward of their struggle on April twentieth.
“He’s Scared”
“He is aware of what I carry to the desk. He’s scared, and he needs to be,” Ryan stated about Haney. “I’m a distinct animal, and he’s not prepared for it.”
I don’t assume there’s any debate about who the extra highly effective and sooner fighter of the 2 is. Arms down, Ryan is quicker, stronger, and a extra harmful fighter than Haney.
The issue Ryan has is that Haney is defensive, arduous to hit, and performs it protected by holding, shifting, and jabbing from the surface. Will probably be nearly inconceivable for Ryan to land his punches in opposition to Haney if he fights cautiously like he did in opposition to Regis Prograis, Vasily Lomachenko, and George Kambosos Jr.
Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) was not impressed with the dearth of energy that the 25-year-old Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) displayed throughout his exercise, and he claims that he may take a younger child and have him hitting more durable than Devin with slightly teaching.
In different phrases, Haney can’t punch his approach out of a moist paper bag, and it’s no risk to beating him on April twentieth of their headliner on DAZN PPV on the Barclays Middle in Brooklyn, New York.
Knockout Promise
“I’m going to place that motherf***er down, watch,” stated Ryan about Haney.
“I wished the Devin Haney media exercise and that s*** was weak. You guys had been hyping it up,” stated Ryan Garcia throughout immediately’s media exercise for his struggle on April twentieth in opposition to Devin Haney.
“When he was hitting the physique factor, I swear, I may train a 12-year-old child to hit more durable. I’m not even capping, both. You carry me a 12-year-old child; I’m going to show him to hit approach sharper than Devin Haney.
“That s*** [is weak]. You guys are hyping some s*** up. No, hype him up. It’s all good. Hype his a** up. I’m going to place that mom f***** down, watch,” stated Ryan Garcia about Haney.
